Clinical Hypnosis Therapy (CHT) is one of various mental health treatment options available to clients. The cost of the service varies by provider; the practice of LaRose assesses fees, as described here. The practice of clinical hypnosis is offered to clients in Washington DC and it is a regulated practice in Florida (for more information about the specific CHT approach LaRose is trained in, please click here). In the office FACE to FACE sessions are recommended, although online sessions have been provided too!
Of all the methods I am trained in, from behavioral modification to cognitive restructuring, addictions and emotions and trauma based interventions clinical hypnosis in the rapid resolution approach is my favorite. Being active in a session where a person begins to see a lifelong belief change in real time (where many clients begin to cry and others break into laughter and even dismay) – well – it is a beautiful thing! I am touched by my online reviews, like those in Yelp and Healthgrades, where lives are changed by hypnosis and then they tell others about it! I love my job – my work – whether a client uses hypnosis or not! I get to see peoples lives – and then – see them change!
The cost for the service is not covered by health insurance and often carriers who do cover CHT time is limited to 50-55 minutes sessions. As a practitioner LaRose offers insurance billing options for persons with out of network benefits. For more information about insurance options with the practice read more here.
The CHT method is best implemented with a 3—4 hour session, although it can be broken into smaller parts. Because the rapid resolution treatment/therapy (RRT) method is believed to be (by LaRose) most effective when it is implemented as an intensive (multi-hour) specialty session, it would in this regard be a “non-covered service.” Hourly options do exist and many clients have been treated with hourly CHT sessions which can be arranged on a case by case basis. Some clients may be eligible for a free consult about various treatment options available including CHT. Often a specialty consultation in a PRE-CHT session is recommended so that time is spent on what is needed (and not needed) for the outcome of the method to be maximized. Suggestibility may be a consideration and in certain areas having a rapid intervention may not be ideal (certain medical conditions and time for adjusting to life without a certain food, or drug may need to be discussed as well). The pre-cht consult does incur a fee, which is deducted from the cost of the 3.5 hour CHT session (if CHT is determined to be a good fit). Not everyone who wants to be hypnotized may be an ideal candidate and if that is the case it will be discussed. If a person is not a good candidate it doesn’t mean that CHT cannot be done or utilized as a service, it may mean a bit of time in other discussions will be needed prior to doing so.
FOLLOW UP SESSIONS if they are needed at all USUALLY ARE COMPLETED IN ONE HOUR BLOCKS OF TIME at the traditional hourly fees of the practice. Follow-up sessions are not anticipated, for the most part, by the CHT/RRT professional—however—some clients seek follow-up; follow-up is an option.
CHT/RRT can be used with both adults and children. The method used by LaRose is varied and structured according to the concern or problem clients bring into the session; because “one size does NOT fit everyone” one CHT method does not work across the spectrum of problems. The method, (as trademarked by the Institute for Survivors of Sexual Violence – and other institutional names as are founded by Jon Connelly, PhD), is modified to the specific area of concern. People are unique, and CHT/RRT as a hypnosis approach, is unique too—in that it uses different hypnosis interventions (steps), specific to various presentations.
The method works in clearing up:
- 1) Emotional Intensity / Sadness / Anger / Fear
- 2) Guilt / Shame / Regret
- 3) Anxiousness / Worry
- 4) Over Eating, Compulsions & Addictive Patterns
- 5) Grief / Loss / Death / Dying
- 6) Traumatic Events
- 7) Smoking, Drinking
- 8) Depression, Excessive Sadness, Shame
If you are considering CHT/RRT, you could schedule an initial consultation to see if the method (or other methods) are an option for you. Scheduling can be done now, 24 hours a day, online.
CHT IS AVAILABLE TO ALL WASHINGTON DC AND FLORIDA RESIDENTS who are seen in the office of LaRose, onsite in Florida and in DC, and online as long as the person being treated is from the same jurisdictions (DC and FL) where LaRose is licensed to practice.
